I have twenty years’ experience in the provision of writing skills advice for academic and professional activity. I am currently providing writing consultancy online, and am working with native and non-native speakers of English globally, to develop strong independent writers. Previously, I have worked in a variety of academic disciplines, and have set up and managed a UK university's Writing Centre, establishing a Doctoral Writing Group alongside. As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, I have mentored and trained staff in academic skills support, and my most recent role as Group Director of Programmes for an education provider in London, was to deliver consultancy on curriculum design, teacher-training and materials development, for optimal teaching and learning outcomes in language and business skills settings.
